The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the 10th and 12th board exam results for 2025 next week. While the exact date and time are yet to be officially confirmed, sources suggest the results are likely to be released around the same time as last year — mid-May. In 2024, CBSE declared the results on May 13.
CBSE conducted the 2025 board exams starting February 15. The 10th exams concluded on March 18, while the 12th exams ended on April 4. This year, over 42 lakh students appeared for the exams across 7,842 centers in India and 26 other countries.
In 2024, a total of 22.39 lakh students appeared for the 10th exams. The overall pass percentage was 93.6%, with 20.95 lakh students passing. Girls outperformed boys by around 2%.
More than 2.12 lakh students scored above 90%, while 47,983 secured over 95% — a rise from 44,297 in 2023. Among schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) had a pass percentage of 99.09%. Government schools recorded 86.72%, and private institutions achieved 94.54%.
In the 12th board exams, 16.21 lakh students appeared, with a pass percentage of 87.98%. Around 1.16 lakh students scored above 90%, and 24,068 students got more than 95%.In 2024, the CBSE Class 10 and 12 results were declared on May 13. DigiLocker and Certificates
CBSE provides digital mark sheets and migration certificates via DigiLocker. Students can access their DigiLocker accounts using a six-digit access code provided by their respective schools.

Students who do not pass one or more subjects will have the opportunity to appear for compartment exams later this year. Details regarding these exams will be announced alongside the main results.
