Indian film star Kiara Advani made a radiant first appearance at the Met Gala 2025, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on May 5 (local time). The celebrated actress, who is expecting her first child, walked the red carpet in a striking black, gold, and white ensemble that beautifully blended high fashion with a heartfelt tribute to motherhood.

Designed by renowned Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta, her outfit featured a flowing black gown adorned with gold detailing and a long white trail. A unique highlight was a delicate, heart-shaped embellishment placed on her gown — a subtle nod to her pregnancy that caught attention and admiration.

The theme of this year’s gala was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, focusing on excellence in fashion inspired by Black culture and tailoring traditions. As always, the event drew a global crowd of artists, designers, and celebrities. Indian icons made a significant mark this year, with Shah Rukh Khan and Diljit Dosanjh also making their much-awaited Met Gala debuts. Regular attendee Priyanka Chopra Jonas returned for her fifth appearance.

Kiara, known for her performances in films like Kabir Singh, Shershaah, and the recent Game Changer, is married to actor Sidharth Malhotra. Her elegant yet symbolic look added a special charm to the evening and was widely appreciated by international fashion watchers.

The Met Gala, often called the “Oscars of Fashion,” is an annual fundraising event for the Costume Institute and serves as the grand opening for its yearly fashion exhibition.
